Parents,

We learned at 11am this morning that a student at our school has been exposed to COVID. The student is not demonstrating any current symptoms and was immediately quarantined from the rest of the class. We are now developing our plan for quarantine and will let you know by the end of the school day.

The student who has been exposed is in the Kindergarten class. Parents, you are welcome to come and get your child immediately; please contact the school to let us know you are coming: (706) 940-3758.

We cannot identify the individuals who tested positive for the virus because of privacy laws. However, those from our community whom we believe were in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or longer) are in the process of being identified and will be notified and required to quarantine at home for 10 days.

If your child develops flu or other symptoms including dry cough and fever, do not bring them to school. Consider contacting your medical provider. We will notify the students who will have to quarantine. They will be allowed to return to school on Monday, August 23, 2021.
