End of Year Testing

Students will be assessed in Math and Reading during this time period. Please make sure your child is rested and ready!

Our End of Year Testing Window opens next week. Your child will test sometime between April 17th and April 28th. It is important that children are well–rested, present and prepared for the school day.

As a reminder, we utilize Renaissance Testing to measure our student’s growth throughout the school year. Students take this test 3 times a year – beginning of the year, middle of the year and end of the school year.

Renaissance provides our teachers with a great deal of insight as to how to best prepare lessons for our students throughout the year. These reports also provide us with a national-percentile rank for our students. Click here to view a Parent Guide. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this information further, please feel free to reach out to me or your classroom teacher. We would be happy to discuss details with you.

Personally, I have seen so much growth in our students this year! Our team’s devotion to providing high-quality instruction has afforded students the chance to make ample gains! We will actually discuss with the students how to approach tests next week, including how to implement test-taking strategies. However, parents, please understand that your children will only take grades and testing seriously, if you do. Talk with your child and encourage them to do their best on the test. Lift them up if they struggle. Reward them if they do well! Also, talk with your child’s teacher about their grades and their testing reports. Let us, as parents and educators, surround and support our children altogether. I am looking forward to a strong finish!
